  • I provide individual therapy services to adults who reside in California via video sessions. I’m only licensed in California at this time and will soon be licensed in Washington State.

  • I strive to create a space where people feel safe and comfortable being their unapologetic selves. Feel free to laugh, cry, and curse all you want as I’ll probably be joining you! I encourage folks to go at the pace that feels best for themselves.

  • Therapy isn’t one size fits all; each session is tailored to the needs of each client. The types of therapy I often incorporate are:

    • Culturally Sensitive

    • Person-Centered

    • Strength-Based

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

    • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

    • Dialectical Behavior Therapy

    • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) also known as “tapping”

  • Each session is 50 minutes. During the first session, this will be a time for us to explore what brings you to therapy and identify what your goals are. I’ll probably be asking you more questions than I usually would in order to learn more about yourself and your background.

    If it feels like we’re a good match and continue working together, sessions will start with a check-in. It could be following-up on homework (yes, I assign homework!), something we talked about in our last session, or just having an open dialogue about how you’ve been doing. Wherever you’d like to go, I’ll follow you. Some folks may need more direction and I could help with that if it’s a bit difficult to find something to talk about. Trust me, there’s always something we could talk about.

  • I offer weekly and biweekly sessions, depending on what your needs and financial circumstances. If you’re justing starting therapy, I would recommend weekly sessions for us to build a therapeutic relationship and to help you get started on your goals sooner rather than later if sessions were not as frequent.

    Of course, if you’re at a place where you’re feeling pretty solid with your progress and are not needing to meet with me as frequently, we could discuss tapering off to monthly sessions.
